I still think the big issue is power storage.

That is the big weight and $$$$ hurdle.

Brushless motors, computer programmable controllers, battery cooling trays, and such is all avilable in the market. But batteries still equal tonnage, and a majority of your cost. However there is plenty of room to stack all the range you can afford. Then switching from poker run to shootout mode could be as simple as a hook and crane pick, to drop that extra 6000lbs of ballast..
