most of the show is filmed here in our backyard on Lake Lanier in GA. Some of it was also down on Lake Alatoona on north side of Atlanta.
Our old Formula 292 was in the first season when they were doing the church services on the water and handing out the bibles with drigs in it. |

Season 1 was partially filmed at LOTO, but since then Georgia. The scenes you see in the following seasons are just add in's from the first filming. (They are mostly the sky view area shots) Our house was under construction at the time and in season 3 we could see it in the construction stage.Seemed funny!
We enjoy the nuances in the show loosely based on local folk lore or past happenings. (The writers were originally from LOTO) Fun to watch but seriously for entertainment not based on reality. Anyone else blown away from the ending of season 3? , Caught us off guard! |
Season 3 has alot more flyover LOTO scenery... x2 on Bloodline - easily my favorite show on Netflix.

Have been a fan of Ozark since it came out. The year and a half wait for season 3 was worth it... there were some great performances for sure. The ending was a shocker!
Will check out Bloodlines... today! |
One thing for sure... the Byrde's Sea Ray needs better over-dubbing for engine effects. They definitely do not sound like a hot boat that's for sure. LOL

The bar he bought "Blue Cat", is on Lake Allatoona, and is really called JD's on the Lake in Canton, GA. Years ago it was called something else, and a lot of fun to hangout at. A guy who owned an Apache and a Jaguar would pull up to the docks a lot. This goes back to 2008.

The Apache and Jaguar are Joe Kinser's from Woodstock, GA if I was guessing.

Lake of the Ozarks would make an awesome set for a show, but Georgia wins out when it comes to the tax credits that they give for productions. Money talks!
