running down at LOTO either, top gun should be the "fastest" boat, that is capeable of taking the normal saturday, main channel,"ass beating" that the lake will dish out. has anyone heard, {i didn't read it} if PBM is doing this for 2003 ? jt |

Correct me if I am wrong, but can't a person sign up to run on Sunday? If this is the case, what is the problem with Miss Bud entering Sat. night? They entered this fair and they were the fastest. I don't see a problem. I saw open the field up a bit to allow the bigger boats, Bacardi, Big Thunder, Callan, Miss Bud, Jet Set and whoever else get up to speed and really make this a challenge. Any of those boats can run with Miss Bud if they would lengthened the course. I would love to see these boats moving at about 190-200 mph. Granted, to ensure safety, some other things would have to be changed.

Steve 1,
I believe there were 4; Callan Marine cat Callan Marine vee Flash Gordon cat Miss Bud hydro |
Well guys, I thought it was a little low of bud to take a step like they did, they should have stayed on the trailer for sunday, and dave scott's boat is only 36 ft, the cat of callan is 46 ft, a lot of weight to get moving, next year I am going to get{try} Craig Caulk with his Nitro Fish top fuel hydro to show he running 230 in the quarter mile, top that bud

I want the last ten minutes of my life back I wasted reading this bickering.
I can't seem to understand why it is such an issue with some? So they entered late? So they waited to see if Bacardi got beat? WHO CARES!!??!? They were the fastest. They won. They are richer. Lastly and most importantly, they have all the free beer they want when the day is over. Sheesh... |

Originally posted by mpally Yeah, and the Shootout will see its first fatality in its history. I don't think so, those little hydo's are tougher than you think, they have breakaway cockpits and other safety on them, its just to say were is this going to end, you can have a fatality in a bayliner:rolleyes: |
THANK-YOU....THANK-YOU....THANK-YOU....

I DON'T GO TO THE SHOOT-OUT TO SEE HYDROPLANES RUN, IF I WANTED TO SEE HYDROPLANES I WOULD CHECK OUT ONE OF THE RACES ON THE HYDROPROP TOUR. MY IDEA OF THE SHOOT-OUT IS, WAS, AND ALWAYS WILL BE ONE IN THAT A BOAT THAT COULD BE TAKEN ANYWHERE ON THE LAKE THE PARTY COVE, A RESTAURANT, OR JUST CRUISING AROUND.... CAN YA DO THAT WITH A HYDROPLANE... DON'T THINK SO..... RACE BOATS CAN STILL BE USED AS PLEASURE BOATS, SO NO ARGUMENTS THERE! IF HYDROPLANES ARE GOING TO CONTINUE TO RUN, I SAY MAKE A CLASS SPECIFICALLY FOR THEM AND DO NOT ALLOW THEM TOP-GUN HONORS..... AND IF YOU ARE GOING TO ALLOW THEM TOP-GUN HONORS LENGTHEN THE COURSE SO I CAN WATCH CALLAN KICK THEIR FRICKIN' AZZEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY .02 SORRY BUT I JUST FEEL BAD FOR EVERYONE THAT MADE THE TRIP (LONG DISTANCE TRIPS) AND THEN THIS HAPPENS FOR I FEEL THAT IF MANY HAD KNOWN THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN THEY WOULD NOT OF MADE THE TRIP.....AT LEAST I KNOW I WOULDN'T OF IF I WAS GOING STRICTLY FOR TOP-GUN HONORS... |
