Tend to agree 'dobber'. Read a full article where a magazine tested the Startron I and mentioned that Art Carlson had designed it and was going to design the Startron models.
However, in your brochure it definitely looks like they were selling the old BowWinds Ultra I and II as Startron II and III. Thanks for sharing the brochure and I gotta say that the
Carlson designed Startron I sure had a very modern look for its time and I sure understand why You Guys miss it.

I Throttled for AL Kirkland in the late 80s into the1990s in an Ultra III "Turn of The Century" It was a great ruff water boat with the stepped hull (The 1989 Ultra III was the first stepped hull offshore production boat I know of? We won the 1990 APBA Key West Offshore Challenge B-Class by over 15 minutes passing most of the C-class boats that started ahead of us, It was a big water race. What a great boat it was.
