Yup, the below is the new Mercury Racing Extreme Performance Gear Oil:
https://www.mercruiserparts.com/merc...e-gear-lube-sa

Mercury Racing Extreme Performance Gear Lube | 85W-90 | 1-Quart | 8M0078015

Description
  • SAE 85W-90
  • For use in Mercury Racing gear cases
  • Do NOT mix with any other gear lubricants
  • 32 fl oz plastic bottle
Mercury Racing Gear Lube was designed for outboard and sterndrive racing applications.

This gear lube provides maximum protection against water intrusion – advanced emulsifiers protect gears if water enters the gear housing.

Wear - tackifiers and pressure additives improve oil film adhesion and protect against excessive wear.

Horsepower loss - prevents horsepower loss and won’t break down when gears reach high temperatures.

Recommended for use in Mercury Racing outboard gear cases including Sport Master, Torque Master, Fleet Master, VI SSM and IV SSM

Mercury Racing sterndrive applications including Dry Sump Six, NXT6, SSM, NXT, Bravo XR, Bravo XR Sport Master drives and NXT transmission assemblies.”

This is going to sound odd, the "High Performance" lube is the base, everyday lube i.e. Alpha and low hp Bravo applications. "Extreme Performance" is the equivalent of "Mercury Racing" both used in up to M8 applications. I called Mercury Racing to get this info.

There used to be one below the greenish "high performance" oil. I wish Walmart would stock the new stuff as it's very expensive to mail order and no one local has it in stock.

Yup, recommendations have changed a bit.

BTW: Quicksilver now offers the Extreme Performance gear oil.
See: https://www.quicksilver-products.com...se-lubricants/

The Premium (yellow) gear oil recomended for under 75hp outboards.

High Performance (green) for engines over 75hp.

Extreme Performance suggested fir high performance and racing outboards and sterndrives

Taking a look around the net, the Extene by the quart $15-18, 1 gallon $60 or so, and the 5 gallon $272.00
