Default Heat and RPM Loss

Hello,

Like many 496 owners I have been having the issue of lost rpm and speed. I was getting max rpm of 4500 when it should have been 4900-5000.

i just had a new cool fuel and injectors installed. The rpms stayed around 4600 with the occasional jump to 4800, speed stayed stayed the same. The air temp was 95. Could this be a reason for the rpm drop? My mechanic had his computer hooked up and said everything looked good. If the temp wouldn’t make this much difference what else should I look for?

Old rule if thumb is every 10*f intake air temp change is 1% power, assuming tune stays right on. This dies not account fir anything else, humidity, air pressure, altitude, etc. Just temp.
