party at LOTO couple weeks ago. News was on it look at all these people no mask blah blah...then 1 person got Covid. They kept making a huge deal and then.....crickets lol no one else there got it.

My point is: It is OVERBLOWN political BS. Yes it exists, Yes you may get it. If you live in a high density area, Over the age of 70 and have underlying issues, BE SCARED! If you don't, why put your life on hold and be scared? The Hoax is in the statistics. 98% will never get it, of the 2%, 3% will be hospitalized, of that 1% will expire.

MAKING everything go to **** in a hand basket to me, Is more politics than common sense. I prefer to make my own choices in life. AGAIN, you are WAY more likely to die in a car accident than Covid. But yet, I am sure you don't think twice about jumping in your vehicle, let alone shutting down everyone from traveling because it might get you killed.

Your chances of dying running 120+ in a boat has to be much much higher than dying from Covid. Seems sort of crazy to cancel an event like this for something with a 99.6% survival rate.

It's not all about you dying but who you infect prior to dying.

Disney World is currently open, how many people will be there the same weekend as the poker run?

My point is that life is not without risks. Running 120+ in a boat puts others at risk too, not just you. Maybe other passengers, maybe other boaters in the area. I would even guess many of the guys who own these boats have their own business with employees and families that depend on that business owner to keep them employed. I would even guess that some of the Skaterfest attendees are overweight, maybe they smoke, eat processed food, don't exercise, or drink alcohol. All things in life come with risks. 99.6% survival rate seems pretty low risk to me. Live in a bubble if you want while I get on with my life.
