With all the work and parts you have into this thing, why not just make two sets of hatches? Then switch them out when you get bored. I think you are going to have to get in dialed in first with the original set as best you can. Then see what else you can do.

if i am not mistaken the scoop is part of an air box designe that covers the flame arester and provides a ram intake effect ,that is what jim dike was running on the new platinum boat in N.O..
are you planing to do somthing simmiler? or just mount them on the hatch?
