This was the opening sequence of an older Jackie Chan Movie.
His co-star was Danny Aiello (Moonstruck, The Professional etc.) At any rate the protector sounds right but i'm not for sure. And just in case you don't recognize the boat it's a Cigarette, pre-Top Gun.

The Manhattan Express is from New York and it still runs.
I know who owns the boat but im not telling, I dont think he wants anyone to know.

The above movie was "The Protector" with Jackie Chan.

It was also in another movie.... McVein, McVane, Mac Vain.... Something to this effect cant find the movie on the internet to tell you the correct spelling of the name..

The movie was called the the Protector .........It was filmed in the east river and was produced by Golden Harvest Films The boat was owned by Hawk Racing Team dba Nicholls Yatch Sales It was the pace boat for all APBA races. The first picture was taken by the side of the Ciquita banana wharf on the east river as part of a chase between the Cigarette and a 32' Luhrs fishing boat wich had the bad guy that Jackie was chasing . The end of the sequence was when we ran a stripped out 38 cig made to look like the Manhattan Express through the middle of the Luhrs off the end of Battery Park in one big firey explosion Mike Nicholson ( one of the stunt team )
