This thread is very interesting, because when I was a boy, back in 1980 or so, I remember eyeing Manhattan Express as it went by my family's sailboat. It was black with gold lettering on it, along with "Hawk Power 1000". It was 40' long and stores at Nichols Yacht Yard on Rushmore Avenue in Mamaroneck. At that time, my family's boat was down the street at Total Yacht Sales, nowadays called Total Marine. There was another boat running around at the time called Midnight Express. I believe it was white in color. In addition, there was another white boat, I thinkn it was 27', with twin Evinrude 235's. I can't remember any other details except that my mouth used to water and these were the roots of my offshore dreams. Any info on these boats would be much appreciated.
