exactly one of the reason i dont get why CC's are so popular !
too much sun = problem
too much wind = problem
too cold = problem
inlet = problem
just like any open bow type of boat in an inlet...
is being 15 on the boat the only plus to these boats? if so, i never feel like being too many on mine might as well keep my old rig !

I watch a few of those videos and the dumbest thing that people never seem to learn, is don't ride in the bow when it's rough. That's the driver's call, he's responsible for his guests. Crazy.
Also surprised how many people don't know how to approach waves, speed, trim, boat capabilities etc.
Must be easy to get a boat licence in Florida 🙂

Too much wind is false
Cold? - a lot of us live in FL, what is cold?
Intlet - well I can assure you we have zero inlets like that in this areaa. As for Haulover it is famous because what it brings for videos like these. It isn't the norm or common nature of inlets in FL.
For every question you ask of why they are better, I can ask you the same for why you feel a closed bow traditional style is better. The only answer that matters is does it fit the owners and needs and make them happy.

Any East Coast inlet in Florida that is shallow is nasty on an outgoing tide. Search youtube for Boynton, Boca or even Hillsboro Inlets and you will see mayhem. Shallow/narrow = fast moving water. Boynton is the worst because it is almost S shaped. But your CC analogies were spot on.
Here is why Haulover is so popular:

Life jackets anyone?
who needs stinking life jackets. The shear ignorance/ stupidity on so many levels is astounding. Certainly makes for great videos though. I’ve been drawn to these for quite some time for there entertainment value as well as the stunning hardware that come and go
