i'm one of the few that prefers the 38 to the 39 just because there is more room in the cockpit

This is it right here, and i think it totally makes sense. When we did the 39 with 1100's, we weren't able to get a full stagger. It had more stagger than the old 1075 39's but still not a full stagger. With that bigger power, the 42 is such a compelling platform. the 39 was great with the 700's, but i think sales must have dropped off a lot when merc initially discontinued the 700. I saw they did a couple of 39's with 565's, and to me that not only seems under powered, but really blurred the line between the 38/39.

I also noticed they cut a number of center console models, so basically it looks like they have been consolidating their "official" portfolio, as over the years it had gotten pretty crowded. But I do agree, they're not getting rid of any molds, and if you really want a 39 they'd do it.

Hell, they say they won't layup any new 20 hulls due to margins regardless of price, but if you really showed up with enough cash I'm sure they'd bend the rules on that too!

If money was no object I’d have them building a new sit down 45 like the kilo boat with custom power

Whats the scoop on the all new hull design they mention on the 42X ?

Brett did they omit the porta potty from the middle of the cabin or just hide it better? None of the sport boats show it like it used to be.

I have seen a few where the PP is forward of the bulkhead at the front of the cabin. Unzip the soft liner, and it's in there.

The potty is an option Cigarette likes to avoid. It can be added.
