Maybe too many boats on the water Sat. A number of smaller boats got swamped. The lake can get a bit rough on the weekends, but this is ridiculous. Looked like LOTO after the races. Estimated that well over 2000 boats were on the water. This is with Travis County having all the public boat ramps closed for the entire Labor Day weekend. Imagine what it would have looked like with the ramps open!

Travis gets pretty rough and has a few boats sink on ANY given holiday weekend
3 of the 5 boats sunk WERE little open bow rentals..
Saw lots of pictures with 4 - 5 people in the BOW.. then started taking on water.
One other was a pickle fork jet who WAS spraying people until he took a wave over the transom causing the engine to die then got swamped.
Also, aparantly there was ONE jackass in a 50' Sea Ray going AGAINST traffic in the "MAXIMUM WAKE" trim position..
so considering there were about 2400 boats in the parade, you'd have a greater chance of catching Covid than sinking ..
