You gotta admit, its not every day someone dumps a half million dollar machine and just leaves...if that's the case.

I also suspect if this was some average Joe dumping a $75k Cafe and walking away the board would be roasting him.

On of the sponsons bow steers to the opposite side. Drives itself under the boat. Port sponson bow steers right or vice versa.

Back in 2009 in key west Aquamania a 50 turbine Mystic rolled over coming into the cranes going slow just dodging the jet ski tour it was a fluke but it happens.

I really don't care owns the boat. My issue is a boat floating at night. How about the poor guy that hits the boat in a bass boat.

Somebody F'd up. That's the story. Slow speed or whatever, confidence overcame ability in whatever the situation is. Why are we wanting to drag it out publicly since it is not what we would want to happen if we were in the situation? To better understand the dynamics of the hull? I call BS. Reminds of the media we complain about.

Here is the issue. Other people enjoy the hobby and other people like 36-39ft catamarans with 450's. While a lot of people have no issue boating without insurance, some of us enjoy sleeping well at night.
I am looking to buy a new 36-38ft cat with 450's right now. I am told the 500 or 525 outboard maybe due out in February. The initial conversation on insurance is not going well. Insurance companies enter markets based on exposure. So apparently the market has very few 450 outboard catamarans. So a $700k hit will wipe out the exposure to profit equation. So insurance for a 39ft MTI will probably go up 40%-60% after the increased exposure. Other operators/owners do not want to pay for nonsense or self insure.
