There seems to be some interest in having some cool stuff for..... home offices / man caves / shops / boat houses.
HORBA has been trying to get some traction with a boat company, that would like to partner with us to make a HORBA Museum, as part of their physical location. So far nothing has worked out to our satisfaction, so I am considering moving some of my collection and HORBAs, so that it won't get lost, if I pass over my last finish line in the near future. We have the original George Bartell paintings that John Crouse used in his book SEARACE. George Bartell was a famous artist that did most of the Cobra paintings and drawings for Carroll Shelby. I want to offer the paintings to the families first, Billy Martin, Rocky Aoki, Tom Gentry, etc etc. After that to the public. We are considering a run of posters from those paintings before they are sold...any interest in some posters, probably 24 X 36 sizes. Also have original negatives and photos, from the real old school racing that could be made up into new photos of various sizes. Looking for feedback and actual interest at this point. Here are some quick shots of an office that I keep at my beach house, one side is for boat racing and the other side is for auto racing. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...38004ba110.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...a3e305c5f0.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...fbfe156f0b.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...4721577f56.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...7c709159b2.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...cc684a637a.jpg |

Thanks, just want this stuff to end up representing the real story of that era and not end up in a dumpster somewhere. Appreciate the interest.
Those must have been magical years...at least they appear so now! I'm interested in the Searace painting(s)..if available- assume John's son is not. Poster(s) depending on content. Lane https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...0a377060fc.jpg Pucker.....1958 250TR Monterey Historics RIP David Love |

Here is a small example of what he has in his office ........and he also has two garages filled with Don's memories. The most important item here in my opinion, is Don's desk. Same desk he made his deals across, same desk he welcomed his friends into the office, Same desk that the very best designs in the offshore world were shown and approved. Many Thanks to 28V for helping an old guy navigate the modern world. LOL (In case you missed the new pics) |

Wow, this really turned into a great thread. I LOVE the scale models of the powerboats. As a kid, building a model was exciting. And they show really well in an office / mancave.

I am extremely interested in reprints of your photos, I'm getting ready to build a new office for myself and would love to have those on my walls. This is some seriously amazing stuff.
