Default gear oil

I was going threw the Quick Silver catalog and noticed they have a extreme performance gear lube-SAE 85 W 90. It list for aprox $3 more per quart. description says designed for outboard and sterndrive racing applications. I have always used the high performance gear lube SAE-90. Is anyone using this?
