Performance Boating Video Content

Hey guys, a little background of me. I started a YouTube channel 4 years ago and grew it to over 220million views and over 500k Subscribers and had a very successful exit with the company last year. So i have a lot of experience with videography, film, and social media content. I am going to go all in and provide boating content on social media platform. Most of the videos I see on YouTube are just videos of people going through inlets and basic walk throughs and basic reviews. My question to you guys is, I plan on producing entertaining short documentaries, boat builds, factory tours, differences in re powers, comparing boats in the same category, pleasure boat races (Like the videos they do with street car races), boating news, etc. Is this something that interest you guys? What other types of boating videos would you guys like to see?

Congrats and good luck. Sounds like you have a good game plan. I'll be watching them!
Depending on your ability to travel and network I would strongly recommend venturing into the private video option for boat owners or exotic car owners, etc. An example would be the 47 Spirit of Apache video but with a little more production value, maybe even music video esq. When a buddy owned American Muscle II, I was trying to put together a production to video the boat running in some decent size water. With drone footage, stationary footage, on board footage. I had a vision of some slow mo shots at the dock prepping the boat, firing up the motors, then idling out to the music of AC/DC For those about to rock. Get a bunch of running shots either from helicopter or drone, airing it out and running hard (kind've like the old RAZZ Apache video). I think if you approached the owners of these high end super nice million dollar boats you'd get a bunch interested in putting something like that together. Edit in the girls, party and having fun aspect in the "video" and bam, winner winner.
There's a few guys out there right now doing event coverage as well and do a nice job but there's not many.
I guess what I'm saying is "lifestyle" videos that are a fun watch and bad ass.
Anyway, just my thoughts...like I said, good luck.

GMO,
I like the video in post #3 because it was informative and entertaining. Was too short...some 8+ minutes
I'd like to see video content similar to that but lasting 1 hour, so that it feels like you just watched a movie
I also like the interviewees, from Larry G down to the techies, each level has something intriguing to say cause that's what each does on a daily basis
Also , if you can video folks like Grant's Signature Racing, Peter Hledin, Doug Wright, the Scisms would be great....how they got started in the business
there are also great content providers of giant catamaran boats here --> Catamaran Fishing Monsters
Good luck, can't wait to see what you come up with

Ive been saying there needs to be an all boat channel. All boating. Documentaries, races, rebuilds, history movies etc.. Whenever Im on the computer and my wife asks what am I doing? I always tell her Im looking at porn. She then replies, "Oh, you looking at boats." Most of the time it is boats...

Come to the Lake of the Ozarks for sure. Logistically you could get alot of content. Fast boats within close proximity, miles of water, dealerships with most manf. Not the bock drop of FLA, but it doesn't suck. Again, you want content it's here.
