Default 2006 velocity 36 questions

hey i am new here and currently own a cobalt bowrider--i am in the market for a new to me boat and i am going this weekend to look at 2006 velocity 36--wondering things i should be looking for and if these boats are generally good quality--i do not see many around. it has twin 496 mag ho motors with around 130 hours--would i be better off with a different manufacturer? my bowrider rides terribly as it is 26 ft overall length--looking for a better ride and to get from point a to b without having to take the throttles all the way back to 20 to 25 mph sometimes due to chop and other boats wake--appreciate any info

36? Do you mean a 32, or a 39?

you sure it’s not a 390? I looked on boat trader and there’s an 06’ called a 36 which is clearly a 390.

Is it the one from knot10 yacht sales? What makes it clearly a 390? Just so I know, thanks

That’s a 390. Velocity only made a couple/few boats that they called a 37, and don’t quote me on this, but I think all of them were mid cabin open bow. That boat has been for sale for a long time. Try and get a hold of Kenny 407-402-0300 he will tell you all you need/want to know about that boat.

Go to the Velocity group and ask about the boat. They did make a couple of 36’s but am unsure of it was a cut down 390 or?? Ask Kenny H...he would know.

Did Kenny say what mold they modified to make the 360 with, maybe a cut down 390? Seemed like they stretched and plugged existing molds to create something new.

Yes, he said the 360 is a shortened 390.
