I am always amazed what people will pay storage on. Where I store my boat trailer for $70 a month there is a little 17-19 foot run a bout. Filled with water since the cover is rotted, tires flat, pretty much I would charge more than $70 to take it to the junk yard. Been there for 3 years at least, that is how long I have had my spot next to it.

Yeah, storage is usually a huge waste of good money............. There are likely a dozen spots being used by stuff that should be thrown away. |
This fire burned long and hot and per fire expert it's doubtful a cause will be determined.

It's sad when it could have been avoided. Bosch makes a camera that can detect smoke and fire even when it's very small, it also doubles as a security camera. I have worked with companies that are at extreme risk for fire with self combusting products and we have saved them millions of dollars by detecting fires when they are still easily extinguishable.

So who pays for the boat loss, the boaters insurance or is the facility responsible to pay for all the losses in that storage?
We pay for it eventually, every claim that is made increases policies a crossed the board for boaters. |

Hate to hear about such a loss of boats. Fire is a total destroyer! |
