I've often wondered about these and thought it would be nice to be able to communicate but I'm assuming they with block out the bulk of the engine noise and I'm not sure I could handle that. I keep a close ear on my babies.

Good info guys thanks as I have been looking for these too.

Although, I go out on the boat so I don't have to listen to anybody talk......

I had Rugged Radios system in my Fountain. Worked well. Wired for comms and bluetooth for stereo. Just sold the system recently.

Cash Bar, do you think we could push them forward and keep them on our heads at 80 mph or 70 mph cruise? The price is right! I will price out the Sampsons also.

They are reasonably narrow profile and fit well. They may stay on till 80. I wouldn't want to try 100+ in direct wind but I'd feel confident at your intended speeds. They are noise canceling and it's pretty solid.

Sounds good. Thanks. I will probably order two to start and then add two more if I like them.

Put a mike in the engine compartment. Pretty much once I get close to 80 all I can hear is wind noise and that's even with the mufflers off. I can barely keep my hair on at 80, I would need a chin strap to hold a headset that large on.

While we are on it. Any of you guys have a solution that fits inside a helmet? My kid races go-karts and looking for something I can talk to him on a walkie talkie and he has an earpiece.

Yes, it's the wind noise that is the problem. We do not wear ear muffs when the windscreens are clamped on. The engine sound is behind us and I also like to be able to hear if anything is making an unusual sound. On the hot days the wind in the face feels very good!

Look into motorcycle head sets, they is a lot of aftermarket companies doing those and they are made for inside helmets.

Edit, I just looked and the same Brand Cash Bar has makes them for helmets as well.

The Raceiver was mandatory for our divisions without radio communication. One of our officials would broadcast to all of the drivers simultaneously, made for lineups way faster, good for calling caution or red condition as well
