i have an outdrive here build by american challenger its very heavy duty even a bit more than trs and the interesting thing is just the lower unit swivels not the upper

Hummm...maybe a 600hp V12 with a 2 speed transmission? 1200ish lbs for larger boats. Maybe a Seven Marine replacement.

What ever it is, it will probably make the 350s and 400s price drop, especially in the used market.

This new motor should have no effect on the Verado or V8 lineup. It will be a much larger/heavier V10 or V12 with a stationary powered and swivel lower. Think of it as a 7 Marine replacement, with additional new technologies. I don't think 450R owners have anything to worry about as far as a more powerful "performance cat" engine coming out any time soon. I do think we'll see less 4, 5 and 6 engine center consoles though.

just wait, someone is going to put 4 or 5 of them on the back of a 45'+ CC............................... can hardly wait for the solar powered pontoons at LOTO

i loved the sound of the formula one engines before the killed it with v-6s an 18,000 rpm v12 or v10 would be cool
