A LOT would depend on home port. In Fla you can bet it's north of $15k/yr, but at an inland lake in the midwest maybe $5-7k.

At 100hrs/yr those 1350 rebuilds will be $500k over 10 years. That same 1000 hrs on 450s? Under $100k for sure and likely less.

To each his own. That was my point about how diverse the choices are. 10 years is a long time in a boat. Part of the reason I mentioned a CC as one of my potential choices.

That said, in the biggest, baddest Skater built - money well spent even if you had to swim back to the dock as your $100 was already exhaust - lol
Pull through a McDonalds and fill the tanks with used deep fry oil.

That's the reason I chose a setup with new T-55 turbines - 3,000hrs TBO! I couldn't possibly afford the fuel to run the hours necessary before they'd need to be overhauled!

At 329 gph, it's close to 7gallons per minute combined for a pair of big Chinook turbines......... I'm guessing a pair of T-55s would actually burn more than that in a 588.

Turbines will run on just about any fuel designed for internal combustion, even gasoline believe it or not! All aviation gas turbines run best on Jet A though - which is specifically formulated for aviation gas turbines and jets.

Default My choice would be

It would be a "Blackwater Bazooka" to keep the tank empty and clean so it goes faster...

Outer Limits SV 29 Outboard w/ 2 300R’s, or maybe the new Phantom Speed Skiff. Another possibility would be the upcoming Pantera 30’ Day Yacht, depending of course on what it looks like.
Don’t want anything bigger. These would fit on my lift. Another important consideration is the ability to pull a boat out at the neighborhoods ramp for maintenance and hurricanes.

This is correct. Years back when Randy Sweers was a Nortech dealer he was running Canada Thrust at a poker run. Boat was fast and thirsty, ran from Ponce Inlet all the way up to St Augustine on the ocean side due to over-zealous local law enforcement on the ICW. When he got to the fuel dock he was fueling it with a combo of diesel and gasoline. He had a formula, 50 gallons of diesel/20 gallons of gasoline type thing in the same tank! They were alternating the fill back and forth, the gasoline made it easier for the diesel to ignite. I think the gas allowed it to burn cleaner as well.
