Audiofn 11-16-2002 02:53 PM

Looks like a real interesting project for sure. Especially if you can get it right IE. CHEAP!!! Looks like he had it in the water as a joke but the water is low. Did it have drives on it?

Jon

Wild 11-16-2002 02:59 PM

I did not go up to it, I had my Lab. in the back, and there were other dogs there so I didn't push it.

I will go back later with some friends,

The place looked a little scary

glassdave 11-16-2002 04:16 PM

looks like a late 80's . . . . dont let Too Old see this  . . . :D :D . . . maybe the guy was gonna use it as a raft in his pond :p  . . in any case i should would like ta hear the story behind this one

formula31 11-16-2002 04:32 PM

38flatdeck 11-16-2002 04:55 PM

Looks like might be 84-87 by the raised hatches on the front deck . What a shame :(

jrocket 11-16-2002 05:35 PM

Un frekin belivable no one ever tried to recover it   Wonder what the whole story is? still doesnt warrant letting a boat of that nature go to waste!
another 02ct piece

SHARKEY-IMAGES 11-16-2002 06:33 PM

Can't you guys tell a decorative fountain when you see one? We can't really tell by the pic, but I bet this guy has pumps hooked up so water is shooting out the tailpipes. Nice landscape job too with the pond.......;) :D :D :D

jrocket 11-16-2002 06:43 PM

Naw, we ain't touchy when someone disses Fountains. We just consider the source.

jrocket 11-16-2002 06:51 PM

Well we gotta poke fun somewhere!

US1 Fountain 11-16-2002 07:03 PM

Not to worry, I'm cool with it. Being the fastest does have it's drawback. ;) :D

jrocket 11-16-2002 07:19 PM

DDAAAAMMMMNNNN it:D We trade speed for creature comforts

TwoKs 11-16-2002 07:25 PM

I think thats so kool to find something like that just sitting there. Wild you have to follow up and let us know how you make out. If it is the boat that Jesse James is thinking it is, maybe the owner came to reality now Give it a try. I would be all over that

PhantomChaos 11-16-2002 07:49 PM

Probably stolen, stripped and dumped. :( :(

ssherman 11-16-2002 07:57 PM

Nort I already told the story about that boat.........whats the matter your head not working right after running with the devil today:D

BLOWN 1100 11-16-2002 08:13 PM

Looks like a 84 or 85 10 Meter

Biggus 11-16-2002 08:20 PM

No, it`s not a 10M, it`s a 12M . The 10M Fountains had only one deck hatch.

gofastboater 11-16-2002 08:44 PM

That sickens me. Someone put a bullet in the old girl, someone recover it and give it a proper burial. Damn.

Better yet someone shoot the owner.

puder 11-16-2002 11:54 PM

lets assusme for amoment they will give you it for free jst for getting it off thier land. How do you plan on moving it? You can't exactly pull a myco out there. You would need some heavy equipment like front end loader or somewthing and heavy duty trailer with a (farm) tractor to pull it out of that muddy field.

jrocket 11-17-2002 12:35 AM

50k 4WD fork lift 30 ft extendos 3 straps anybody got a truck to get it there?;)

CustomRigger101 11-17-2002 07:29 AM

like jesse said.. if it's been setting it's fried.. you'd have to rebuild the hull.. i guess if a guy could pic it up for little money and had a shop to do the work and two years to get her back on the water and wanted to do the work.. it could have a happy ending.. but two motor, drive.paint, seats, etc etc.. pick a number number you would spend it on her to get her back on the water,, a guy might just be better off skipping all of that and buying something ready for next season..IMHO

jb 11-17-2002 07:50 AM

leave it (or get) it floatin and throw a swim ladder over the hullsides and make a swimmin hole the neighborhood can be proud of!

Not trying to hurt anyone's feelings. It could have all just been a simple mistake. A guy that owns that much property must have a ton of cash. So when he told the "So- Called Landscapers" he wanted a fountain in his pond they must not understood what type of fountain.

Just like when the guy asked a kid from the neighborhood to paint his porch white. He came back at the end of the day and found his red PORSCHE painted white:eek:  :D :D :D

tripps 11-17-2002 09:25 AM

Hry sharkey, luv the fountain story :D :D :D great landscapers tripps

fountain1fan 11-17-2002 01:18 PM

wild have you found out any info let us know .

later 11-17-2002 06:58 PM

as ssherman stated the story is how the boat came to be in his front yard. boat was sitting on styrofoam block and when the big floods of 93 came it floated and the blocks did to the boat was originally down at loto had 454 blower motor and smIII drives which are still attached motors and trans less blowers are still in boat of coarse it has filled with water and been sitting since 93. i first saw and spoke with the owner in the fall of 93 and it was in bad shape back then, interior was taken out before the floods it is a 86 moldel boat 12mm use to go by the name of wild thang at loto, whats more interesting than the fountain is the hydroplane that is sitting next to the barn i believe it like the spirt of america spped record holder or something like that. the owner use to own a auto tune-up chain in the st louis area scott randall i belive is his name
later

tripps 11-17-2002 08:20 PM

Comeon give us the address!!!!!! tripps

Tbonepmp 11-18-2002 10:49 AM

MAN... THIS THING HAS BEEN SITTING OUTSIDE FOREVER!!!!!
I HAVE SEEN IT MANY TIMES....

SummerObsession 11-18-2002 11:03 AM

I stayed at a big condo at LOTO this summer (can't remember the name-it was big yellow buildings across from Dorsey's Pit Stop) on one of the docks there was a big red fountain sitting on a lift that had been there for quite some time. I guess the guy that owned it hadn't paid his rent for a long time. One drive was missing (stolen) and who knows what else, but it was running when he parked it last. Covered and under the dock roof, it should be in relatively good shape.
Anyone know the rest of the story on this boat?

ssherman 11-18-2002 11:41 AM

the condo's are the ledges and tbone and i have a condo there but i dont recall a red fountain? do you recall which dock?

SummerObsession 11-18-2002 02:19 PM

I thought it was dock no. 7? I remember it being three or four docks from the farthest south docks.
the guy that owned the condo (Randy Fleming) was telling me the story. That whole weekend is a bit fuzzy;) ;) :D :D

SummerObsession 11-18-2002 02:20 PM

That's a pretty cool place. I love the water where the arms meet! Got the little 28' Eagle airborne many times out front!! What a blast!:D :D

SpectreBoy 11-18-2002 03:47 PM

If ya can't sell em, fill em with water let em crack, dump em by the road side, and buy a cat, then ya can go fast.

PS, being by that pond and the beak on that thing I thought it was a pelican at first.....................LOL

Secret F233 11-19-2002 03:57 PM

The boat is owned by a repo guy named "Art" somthing or other

It's in windfeild mo of hwy79 & has been there for about 10 years in & out of the pond the Seats & Motors are in his basment.

I know this becouse he lives right next door to my inlaws my bro inlaw has heard the motors run and says there all cromed out & bad A$$.

He will never sell it every yr he says he's gona get her back together but never does so there it rots & yes the hull has been cracked internaly by expanding ICE.
