As of today, Lisa is up and walking slowly. All the tubes and monitors are out and off, less the IV. She can't have ANY pain medication due to the fact they need to monitor the natural swelling/state of; the brain itself. I cannot even possibly imagine this pain. She is back on solid foods already, and completely out of ICU. If all goes well, she could be heading home by this weekend. The bandages come off tomorrow, for the first time, which will cause the brain to swell; therefore tomorrow is not going to be a good day either. She has some temp paralysis in her right leg which will need some rehab. Thankfully she had been working out religiously for the past 6 weeks, 5-6 times a week, to build up her muscle and strength. This truly is the moment of truth.
