Fried chicken, cold cut subs, salsa and chips, we have learned to be very careful with food and drinks.

Single again this boating season after 16 years.
Going to focus on bringing snatch aboard, not snacks. |
In my cruiser days, the girls would arrange the snacks.
Usually green foliage, a bucket of crabs and Som Tum (papaya salad) with squid, octopus and crab (all raw) served in ‘Pla Laa’, which is a sauce made from fish guts and left to ferment for 6 months. Stinks to high Heaven, you don’t want this stuff indoors! (Always kept mouthwash in the cabin) I didn’t eat their food, I prefer crisps and strong drinks. 🙂 https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...f3e5e4bf0.jpeg RR |
When I was in college I got my first fixer upper boat finished, in Las Vegas we used to live on mead in the summer. Maiden voyage one of the included snacks was a couple gallons of Carlo Rasi Sangria. It was a great trip but my new upholstery had purple spots everywhere.
I'm a little older now we mostly stay offshore, I like to grab a couple types of smoked tuna & Ritz. Tastes great w the salty air and it's a nice change up while we're working on landing sushi. |
Crackers with Cracker Barrel cheese squares and Usinger summer sausage. Smoked whitefish spread from Mackinac City. Ham & turkey sub sandwiches. Sailor Jerry rum, Southern Comfort and Miller Lite.
