Default Boat brand made by eliminator

Eliminator use to make a boat a while back under a different name. It had steps in the rear of the hull to get into the boat. Anyone remember the name of these boats?

I vaguely remember the name "Obsession", but we were a dealer for Eliminator / Shawano back in the day, and they were called Eliminator...The way it was explained to me was they were an independent manufacturer licensed by Eliminator to build their boats in Cheese Land.

The quality was not up to that of the west coast boats; I don't remember a single boat without either build or rigging issues. Or both. They were great people, I just think demand overwhelmed them and the builds got rushed.

I'm thinking it was Eliminator first, and they either decided to stop paying royalties to Eliminator or Bob Leach rescinded his blessing, and they continued to build boats under the Obsession name for a while.

When the shop closed, Ron Baker started "Rapid Craft" with a boat called a "Riot" which was an Eliminator Scorpion with the bottom redone for outboard power (Daytonas and Scorpions were originally designed as jet botes).
