Boat definitely looks like it's more than stable to take the 1350 mode? Awesome!

Allison's have been going crazy fast for decades. I don't see them running offshore - for obvious reasons. If offshore straight-hulled boats could be made to go as fast as stepped hulls Reggie and then Mike Fiore would have set their latest Kilo records in straight-hulled boats.

I met a bunch of the Canucks at a boating event I used to host.
I have visited them, gotten to be good friends w/them, raced w/them, loved them, but probably the biggest thing is, respect for what they can/have/will do w/going fast in a boat.
Some of their attention to detail, outside the box thinking, glass work, design work, set up work etc, etc.
They just don’t shout it from the rooftops like we do.
I only have one reply to their 160 projection.
Get ready!!!!!!!

Serious note, I think once you have a well designed hull with enough power to run well clear of the water (as all Tuff boats do) I don’t think steps play a part. Steps will definitely provide more aeration and lift to get a boat up and clear of the water but if you have a straight bottom boat that already does that, I don’t see steps bumping the speed more.
Just my 2 cents, cheers.
