Default Verado Ecu reflash

Looking to get my new to me boat ecus flashed. 06 225 Verados. Looking to do the 300 tune. Used Simon on last one years ago but no one seems to be doing it anymore. Hoping someone can help. Thanks, Rob

I called Simon because I was happy with the gains from my last one. They said they couldn’t help me.

I recall reading about some legal action shutting down the reflashes.

Lots of EPA interaction lately with companies overwriting any factory calibrations so many are declining services in fear of getting hit with a fine. It's getting crazy out there...

^^^^This, try to get your diesel tuned, or DEF delete, no one will do it anymore for fear of the EPA coming after them...

There was a thread that said now when a tech plugs into the ECU it will look for a reflash and if there is one send a notice to Mercury.

I have friends that work in the OEM auto industry and they have locked down the ECU's hard, it is getting very hard to break into them. They do it for multiple reasons, EPA, Warranty, liability etc. Everyone does it, I had a head unit for a buddies HD reprogrammed and the Tech didn't even know it happened when he was hooked up.
