Maybe they can compete with SCARAB like the old days.

the other way to look at this is that customers that would potentially buy the new products, can eventually grow into buying larger, ie: core products.

markets change in every industry. Adapting to those changes is what makes companies successful.

Good point but you have to notice even huge companies like Mercedes choke when trying to get into the Rolls/Bentley market. A Maybach is great but a Bentley/Rolls is next level. Also brands get into trouble when they try to become mainstream. Mercedes offering low line cars like A class/B class dilutes the brand. Cigarette jet ski..........ummm fail. Imagine Harley Davidson offering a 49cc scooter!

The cool part is that this is the good ol’ USA where people with an idea can risk their own capital in search of success. I certainly wish them well!!!

I'll take the under......... plenty of money, I would presume Philly (and several other of the folks that know a thing or two about building boats) are solid consultants, and hopefully they'll use them to their advantage.

Regarding the yacht venture....... Skip is well connected, Sportmer is no longer owned by Marcel, and there could be an opportunity there..... or, perhaps the 130'er is simply a marketing tool (and a write-off). You must admit........ it would be cool to have all of your tenders of the same make as the mainship.

These are smart guys....... we'll see if they utilize solid resources and 'expand' the brand vs simply changing it.

* and yes....... a REAL cabin on the larger cc's would be GREAT!!!! So, glad Skip didn't take my 900k offer on the Auroris at the Miami Show. BBird was not happy, and of course Bud just smiled, shook his head. LOL

They will muddy up and lose focus of the brand. Starts with the guy that refers to himself as a billionaire lawyer. If he doesn’t know Attorney’s aren’t the most liked people in the world.

Yep, its like Ferrari or Lamborghini saying they are going to start build motor coaches and motorcycles.

With as many accidents that PWC’s are involved in, I find it
odd that an Attorney would want to own a PWC company;)

Im glad the new owner is excited. I truly hope they do well. I can tell you as somebody who crawls through all kinds of different boats all day....it's very hard to beat the fit and finish of a Braver era Cigarette. Whatever happens, I hope they don't lose that.

or it could be like lambo saying they are going to build suv's.... more than half of what they sold last year were suv's but I dont think anyone would have predicted that just a few years ago
