As a local I love the idea
Also as a local I hate the idea of trying to view this race. It's going to be sh*t showing even if just a decent crowd shows up. I called the bars/restaurants today actually at the pier and they have no idea there is even a race so no reserved areas or anything of that nature to even purchase at an area that is a zoo all the time without an event.

Why is there a St. Pete race and a Clearwater race? I understand 2 different bodies of water, but they are only 20 miles apart.
