My headers are 14 years old and going strong but I boat in fresh water and don't have long, unsupported, tails....

I had the top of one break off. Maybe it was put in too tight. I was able to remove the threaded part with a screwdriver and also able to remove a random screw from the bulkhead and make it work temporarily. Now I have hardin SS plugs but still carry a spare.

Not specific to a 525, but I carry a heavy-duty jump starter box in case both batts fail. Also has a worklight , cig lighter receptacle and USB ports for phone charging if needed.
If someone needs a jump, I'll let them borrow it and not have to worry abt destroying my alternator/s if they can't tell the diff between red and black.

After my latest adventure, I now carry a spare MSD box.:(

Even if you have sensor or similar failure that you don't have with you; the Rinda scanner is a priceless tool to have. I loaned mine out nearly as much as I used it myself, including on poker runs and the like. If you don't have the sensor or whatever you need on hand, you can at least know if it's a $49 part that you can overnight in and get you back on your way.

Yeah I have the blue plugs ever since I dropped one in the bilge. Both motors have smart craft and give me faults through the GPS, is the rinda scanner more useful/specific with codes and faults?
