It's not just Apache, it's offshore muscle boats as a segment of boating, the demand for these hard-core deep-vee style of boats has all but disappeared within the industry, and that's why I was "shocked" when this new guy bought Cigarette...I'll bet Skip laughed all the way to the bank. And I'm sure they will sell a few, get a little resurgence, but I'll bet they never make much money, if ever.

what i dont understand is how does a boat like this or others get in this bad of shape? especially when they tell you only 50 hours on the boat.what do they do? leave it uncovered out in the sun and rain all year?

any more pics of this thing? Maybe running or in the water? Wonder if it’s coming out to Cali since the dude lives in L.A. now. I see the pic of him in his skater looks like havasu.
I am the owner of this boat and it finally almost finished and Fineline Interiors. The boat will be based out of California so you will definitely see it in MDR, Newport and Havasu. It will also make the nationwide Poker Run circuit.
Thanks for all the comments (both good and bad).

I am the owner of the boat and the guy who chose the colors and designed the new color scheme. I am also a nostalgic person and like to restore things rather than change them. When I bought the boat it was in horrible shape. The Indian head paint job was a 60 coat work of art that was probably 1/4" thick. The issue was, it had gashes and scratches running through it from the previous owners and touching it up or fixing it would never look right. I like all of my toys to be perfect, especially after a renovation like this one. I looked at stripping it down and having it repainted but all of the famous boat painters had a 1 year waiting list and I wanted to get it done and on the water quickly. It is also over a $100K Paint job in today's dollars and I wanted to use that $$$ on other parts of the boat. Choosing a simple 2 color paint scheme was way less expensive and faster. I added the deck stripe for nostalgia from my dads old racing days. I hope you all understand.

Great restore and update -- Enjoy the boat! It should do everything you were looking for and more The fact that Bobby was behind the project is that much better of a story...the man is a legend and just a really nice guy.

He is the best and I will be sad when this project is over. I have talked to Bobby more than my own parents during the boats evolution.

Fantastic story and a great presentation to cover the progress.

Congrats Eric. As you can imagine I have heard a lot of this from Bobby directly and he is as excited as you are, to be involved with this.

Thanks so much for picking the best in the business and the only choice, when dealing with an Apache or Chief......Mr Saccenti!!!
