Well sometimes miracles do happen
We always hear about the bad people in the boating industry, But how about the people that are just truly trustworthy .
I had the pleasure fo meeting such a man this year and let me tell you how refreshing it is to shake hands with someone that not only stands behind his word but goes above and beyond. someone who truly appreciates boats and doesn't give you a line of BS
I had the pleasure to meet Bill Forenski in Cape Coral this year when I went to look at his beautiful Cigarette 42X he had for sale,
We agreed on a deal. with the understanding that I had to get a loan until I was paid out on a business deal so it could take a couple weeks, well unfortunately with everything that happened with covid and no income with work I was unable to get a loan. so I let him know right away and I gave up. well he calls me back and we discuss what it would take for me to make it happen. I also realize he has other people interested in the boat, but his whole thing was we shook hands and that I appreciate the boat more than most people and I'm not just going to let it sit and get trashed.
How I got so lucky I will never understand, I know he has a successful business selling boats ( https://www.wmfwatercraft.com/. ) Now I know why., truly a professional and honest person.
Even thou it took months not weeks he was always the perfect gentleman and I did push his patience on this deal.
I'm looking forward to having drinks with him in Key west this November. ill be the one buying him drinks

AWESOME compliment/ tribute to a gentleman's agreement as 1) you both deserve credit on how you dealt with the setback and 2) everyone needs to hear what the values of yesteryear (aka WAY back when...) were all about...
Enjoy your prize as she is a definite beauty.

Good to hear, we bought our Velocity from Scott Hossack who has since passed. He was a man from the same cloth. He did everything humanly possible to make the deal work for us. We needed a custom trailer to fit the boat in our garage, he bought the existing trailer off of us at more than a fair price and sourced the custom trailer at his cost. We wanted the get the boat updated and he connected us with MitcherT for the paint work and his upholstery guy for my interior. Both of them also treated us like we were their best client. Scott went out of his way to make our boat buying experience something special. Even the people at Velocity were super helpful in sourcing the right color vinyl for the interior and getting us extra keys. Have to say the whole experience was really refreshing.
