I emailed FPC too. As of now, they are definitely planning on a June run, but an August run is a maybe. They canceled the august run this year because of all the Covid restrictions they experienced in June.

We are potentially looking to do the Bimini (and surrounds) trip next summer with 2 other boats/couples. The plan is to caravan to Florida from So. Cal. sometime between June and August.

We’ve looked at the FPC’s posts from seasons past and quite a few utube videos. None of us think we are a good fit since our boats are smaller and slower. They are all in the 28-29’ range and our intended cruising speed is in the mid 40s to maybe 50 if conditions permit. The FPC participant’s boats are quite a bit bigger and faster. Looks like a 38 footer is on the small side and cruise speed appears to be in the 65 MPH plus range.

is anyone aware of other organized trips that might be more suitable?

Possible option however, we’re looking for a longer trip with folks that own similarly set up boats:
