I did a quart before…at room temp it actually goes a lot faster than you think. It was done in a couple hours. not sure who would sit there and watch it.

It may be my upbringing or the fact that I was responsible for justifying the financial burden of down time in heavy equipment.... but straining oil through a coffee filter just screams that you can't afford the boat you own. We strain oil to find metal particulate, not delay maintenance.

It's right up there with taking the used gear oil from the neighbors B1 and putting it in your boat because it looked better than what came out of yours - I've personally seen it done!!!

You guys may be onto something but I can't wrap my head around what you are actually saving in the big picture.

I have been running my NEO oil 2 seasons and checking it twice a season. It's still clean and no metal on the magnets after AADS did a level 3 build on my drive. If George says run it 2 seasons I am good with that.

If your missing work to do so, then yes, for many of us.

We all like to do different things in our free time.

has nothing to do with pinching pennies. if the oil isn’t bad…why throw it out?

several people running neo oil go 2-3 seasons and it still looks brand new.

Its good stuff for sure. If it was me, I would change it, and be fresh for next year. JMO tho.

I’ll probably just swap it. Piece of mind.
