alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, firearms, medicines, food additives etc... all are harmful to humans, but ironically they are all legal by government standards as long as they are taxed and the government profits... when will humans wake up and realize you have the right to do most anything minus the few "legal" ones that you have to pay master to enjoy.., you can grow your own tobacco, you can brew your own alcohol, you can grow your own weed and make your own medicine as well as grow your own food.. why are you paying?

I agree we don't need a law. Just wear the stupid things! On another note did you guys know that seatbelts contain an explosive charge that pulls the belt tight and locks it in a collision? I found that out the hard way this summer when I ran my Mustang into a truck. It didn't trip the airbags but it did the seatbelt. You have to send them out to be rebuilt after it happens. Just an interesting fact...

in the early 2000's they went to a style that actively draws the belt tighter on you when the airbags deploy. there are many ways of doing that but they all involve a detonator in the system.

My 2007 Mustang has them. They can fire without the airbags deploying as the control module determines the severity of the crash. I verified that because my airbag did not deploy but the seatbelt did.
