In the winter we use it every sat or Sunday local and the Keys. Having it at LOTO in the summer is great. We fly out on Thursday afternoon. Boat is waiting for us in the water at PBC. Take it to our dock and boat all day Fri-Sun. Leave at PBC in the water on Sun eve and fly home Monday am. PBC handles everything and keeps it in amazing condition. We get to have a mini vacation 1-2x a month.

Where do you fly in and out of? Somewhere closer than KC or STL?
With the drive I'm usually on the water about 4-5pm If we catch the lunch flight |
I bought an insulated 40'x50' building on 2 acres for next to nothing 5 yrs ago. It's 35 mins away from my house, but is 5 mins away from Lake Michigan in. Prior I paid for a 12'x50' indoor stall that was 45 mins from Lake Michigan.

Umm YES!! perfect size. |
Thirty odd years ago, I lived very close to my boat. Coming home and seeing my boat out the back was always nice and the convenience couldn’t be beat. Since then, I’ve used marinas but never more than 10 minutes drive from home.

In summer my boat is inside 100 miles away, but only 1/4 mile from our summer camp, which is about 2 miles from the ramp Winter my boat is 10' below my feet in my basement, love having it so close to tinker all winter |
30 seconds from the TIKI Bar to the boats

Boat is in storage about a mile from the ramp 30 mins or so from the house. It helps when going to the lake out here. They will pull people over for minor trailer issues to check for DUI around here if you are pulling a boat into town. I drink NA beers while on the boat to be safe so it doesn't bother me, but keeps from dealing with the hassle.

Man...seeing all the sweet docks/lifts/shops and garages really makes me miss my boat even more! Typically I'll winterize it in November, then won't see it again until April/May. Retirement plans include a house on the lake with a lift AND a shop on site for winter storage.

Yes I do
I wanted to buy a 28 but my boat garage will only fit a 26. I wanted it to be inside .

Just shrink wrapped it! 1st time leaving it in yard but high dry has no able workers crooked boss with a ego problem :asskiss: Time to buy a trailer after 50 years of boating only 2 miles to bay! Gonna call BBB and start a law suit with marina if they continue to contact us ! Because bottom looks like a airport run way from marina fork truck !Cost us 2 seasons almost because under staffed marina! Got it out of there to use it every time you wanted to launch it they had dumb excuses? My point buy a trailer or pay to launce it still cheaper! Over & out!

Hard to beat that convenience! One question I’ve never asked about a basement garage like yours is does any fuel/oil/rubber or other smells make it’s way to the rest of the house? My wife’s nose rivals that of a hound dog
I have an exterior door at the top of the steps, my hvac and water heater , natural gas, is in its own sealed room, and the entire basement framing is covered with 5/8 fire resistant drywall |
What is the purpose of the jack stands under your trailer?

Some people do that to keep the weight off the tires during the winter or storage time. Helps prevent flat spotting and can extend the life of the tires. I used to do the same thing with my show car years ago during the winter months.
Also takes the load off the trailer suspension. |

My version is let some air out of the tires and jack each one up and slightly rotate a few times during the winter. |

Boats are in the basement. Sleep over top our 22 Classic. Watch TV over 28 ZXO. Eat over top of XStar. Very fortunate |
Just 3 mins away.
