Key West OSO roll call
 

So who's going to be in Key West for the worlds??
I'm going to do a quick weekend in Florida. I fly into St. Pete Thursday, staying in Homestead Thursday night with a couple of friends and heading to Key West early Friday morning. I'll be in Key West Fri-Sun and fly back Monday. It would be nice to put some faces to the screen names. lol

We will be there Wed-Mon. Hosting the big party at Sandbar on Thursday night as usual.

Thursday till Monday for us

Next year - I cannot get away from the office.

Tuesday afternoon through Friday afternoon. My liver has already sent me a thank you card.

Arrive with the Thur crew and out on Sunday.

Running the Poker Run with Clark/crb76; coming down on Wednesday, and back out on Sunday.

We are rolling down in a Buddies Deep impact on Thursday and roll back out monday

Tues-Tues. My liver is already not speaking to me.

Sadly missing this, going to be a good one. Pretty solid group from our area headed down. Should be 3-5 boats.

Those of you that are bringing boats down, where do you keep them? It would be nice to see some of the nice hardware that I see on OSO. Hopefully I'll have my AT all back together and do the poker run next year.

There are so many people coming this year that every marina is booked. but the main place to look at everything is at conch republic,

Got a call this AM and made the decision to go an hour ago. Thur-Mon. If you see me......drinks are on the bald guy I'm traveling with! LOL

Junior and I are running down in the poker run on Wednesday in our green 28 Skater. We may be the smallest boat in the fleet (I do see another 28 is registered). We have a slip in Key West Bight and rented a 2BR sailboat in the same area to stay on.

ill be there Thursday to Monday and I'm easy to spot ( being 6'4" helps )

I'm heading down on Monday....I know a little late!...but this is what works for the wife and I. I guess I'll see some of you heading back North and maybe at lunch somewhere.
Looking forward to a Key West vacation.

For someone wanting to plan a future trip to this event, what's the best place to stay in key west? My wife and I want to come for the festivities and races...we won't be bringing a boat. Thanks for any info.

Don't have a budget, start looking for a place next week. Rates for this week are the highest of the entire year AND they sell out WAY in advance. We've rented a house and tried re-renting it for the next year WHILE we were down there and it had been booked already. If you want the wild night life then the northern 1/2 of Duval street is where you'll be. Get as close to that as you can afford to stay.

We are renting a 2 bedroom sailboat docked in Key West Bight. Found it on Airbnb

No it’s my buddies. I’m boatless down here for the first time in forever and it’s nice just to ride and chill. The 50 MTI “WIRED UP “is an incredible machine.
