Condolences to Rey's family, friends and loved ones. It's so sad to see another loss of life in this sport that we all participate in to enhance our life, not take it. Everyone please be safe when out on the water, and always wear a life jacket.

Some updates on this tragic news. It’s so sad what happen… rey was extremely hard working and motivated to succeed in this sport! This one hits close to home for me…

The evidence we have so far seems to point at this being a situation caused by a blow over. I’ll have some images attached, you can see the swim platform in the transom was completely chopped off. And the trim rods all bent.

So sad... wether it would be day or night, if it was a blowover, there probably was no way to avoid it, unless going slower...

I just came across this video, and they report that Rey's body was found. RIP Rey.
