Default Bahamas vacation..

Hi Folks,
I ask here as there are lots of folks are in Florida and likely familiar with the Bahamas.
We have been to the Caribbean many times but not the Bahamas.
Looking for recommendations for what area in the Bahamas for a family vacation, boat rental and golf on the menu.
Likely looking for Airbnb or VRBO rental.
Like an area with some activity rather than solitude.

Go to Bimini, it is the closest part of the Bahamas from Florida. They have big homes and townhomes to rent on airbnb or VRBO. They also have a casino and good local restaurants outside of Bimini Bay. Probably a 1 hour and a half ride from south florida, depending on the weather and the type of boat of course.

Cool, i will be flying from Canada so proximity to Florida is not part of the equation, but I will look at Bimini , thanx

If flying in why not start with Nassau? You can charter many directions from there.
You can also fly directly from Ft lauderdale into Staniels cay. Rent a shack on the beech and they include a small boat to explore the he nearby islands.
