Default New Advantage X-Flight Build

So I sold my 2007 X-Flight into this hot market last spring and ordered a new one. Basically the same design with a few updates. It's going to have a Merc 565 ITS package installed.

A pic of the old one and the new one coming out of the mold this week. Hope to get it in March.

Way cool, is this the 27 or 29ft model?

How did you like your old one? Did you use it for watersports with the kido's? If so, how did it work?

It's a 29, same as the old one. I liked it well enough to order a new one. Yes it was great for tubing. It stays on plane at really low speeds - in fact they offer a tow pole for wake boarding.

That’s a great boat for our lake. Only saw you out in the other one once.

Congratulations I always like that boat wondering if they would ever make an outboard version of it the way this trend is going? Just wondering how doe it handle in choppy water does it span the waves
One other question how do you access the port side of the engine were the walk thru is?

The boat is wide, over 9 feet. That extra width and the air that's trapped under the side sponsors makes for a really comfortable ride. It rides really well in moderate chop at speed, and can take just about anything "the lake" can throw out comfortably as long as you slow it down to 35 or so. I mean it can comfortably take some really snotty water with ease and not beat you up in the least. That said, it's still just a 30-footish boat and on the light side. It cannot rip across bad water at high speed like I can in my ZRC without ruining the wife's day.

Regarding port-side access, the rear walkway has an insert for holding bumpers accessed via a hatch. Take that liner out and climb down and you have easy access to the batteries and the port side of the engine. It is a really well thought out boat with a ton of storage room.

Regarding outboard engines: I asked them the same thing a few years ago. They were not interested. I think if they put one out they would be swamped with orders - but then again they already are. They are hiring and can't keep up with production now.
