Jeff Stevenson is also a partner in Sixteen Power, the company that builds the engines. The original objective was turbine power levels with pistons. With a 1400 HP naturally aspirated model already on the dyno we are getting there. Additional advantages of the engine are light weight (without the additional weight of supercharging parts) and fuel economy (from the efficiency of GM's LS cylinder head design). With 854 CID getting on plane is not an issue. Supercharging and turbocharging are both under consideration but the simplicity and sound of a big NA engine is compelling.

Huge congrats Tom! As one who'd followed this dream from cocktail napkin drawings to reality and now debut in Key West, this is awesome news. Sixteen Power now has the attention of all the big players in the game. Looking forward to watching Sixteen blossom!
