This will be a badass build for sure! I've been talking to Chris about it, and it definitely presents some challenges being cut down that low. It will be a one-of-a-kind, no doubt. I can't wait to see the progress pics!

This is a dumb question, but what does "cut down" mean?

In this case, the factory cuts down the boat's entire freeboard (side profile height) from stock - reduces weight as less material on the boat. This boat is cut down to the point where there is so little clearance over the tunnel, the cockpits had to go in the sponsons to accommodate the occupants in the F16's.
On other Skaters the freeboard at the back is stock but from the cockpit forward it is cut down/ massaged to improve driver view over the forward deck.

Is critical lift the width of an original 36 or is it widened like a 368? Do you think this boat is cut down even further than the 368 that originally had the 400 ROS motors? I believe that boat got 450s and I have not heard how it runs now.
