Realize that insurance will cost at least $1000/month as well and you will probably need the Tres Martin performance boat courses to get cat insurance.

When I bought my current boat, it cost more than a 1/2 year salary for me. It was worth it to me.
A new 500K outboard 450 cat should not cost you anywhere near $1K a month. 1350's in a cat yes, but not on a 130mph outboard boat.

I’m sorry but I was pretty turned off by the thread but I’m just a poor dirt farmer. Dirt I can at least make sense with. 😂

Good responses, thanks.

We already have the truck covered (2020 GM HD)

Have factored in ‘other’ costs.

Don’t want a supercar, we rented a Huracan last week in Florida, was cool, but not something I want to own.

Hard not to come off as haughty, but I figured in this group many people have way more than average.

Kids are kids, they hate when I start up my R1 now…too loud! WTH?

Twodocs you have an R1 your kids hate, sorry. You have a tri toon, you rent fun cars. Sounds like you have enough money to buy the boat you want and if you don't like it sell it. I doubt that once the wind is flowing and the kids are gone that you will be upset. You only live once and can't take it with you. May as well have fun with all the work you put into your career.
