At the beginning I genuinely believed the OP was looking for help with his poorly designed and set up boat. I was incorrect with that assumption, he just wanted validation with his preexisting plan to install an oversized cavitation plate (not a Hydrofoil, as indicated by the title). Thank you SB for the example of a hydrofoil! I say go cat go! Install the Doel-fin or whatever brand you have already purchased, and when it creates so much stern lift, you spin out, and from the extra load on the cav plate it breaks the mounting points clean from the drive. Please don't have anyone else with you at the time of your test run. I am honored to have participated in a dialogue with a future Darwin Award recipient. |

Offshoredrillin’s mom is not “fat”, she’s pleasantly plump. That’s offensive.

I’ve never once tried picking your mom up, physically or metaphorically. Probably could tow her in a tube behind that coupe hydrofoil if the engine could take it 🙂

I think the problem is you have a crappy designed boat and the owner is just as stupid... in boating terms you're whats known as an askhole, you ask questions and keep changing the question till you get an answer you want... so einstein, good luck w your tub, hope you dont kill anyone... let us know if you decide to go to any runs, so we know to look out for the ill handling POS, with the know it all behind the wheel.
After all, the things are like a measly 50 bucks at Cabelas. Anyone with a tenth of a percent of common sense would of went and bought one and tried it if they had the notion, instead of this shaatshow. |
