Pass the hopping zone with a CAT
Hi Guys , i am a NEWBIE .I would ask to you what is the best method to get over the hopping zone that commence around 70 mph ? I know well that the catamarans are different each other . I reach 80 mph in less then 800 meters (start hop around 70 mph ) but i think that i need more space to go over this speed right?. What are your suggestions ? The Thottle are WOT at 70 mph probably i have to use it gradually to connect better the rpm vs speed vs throttle position ? I am using a very light prototype cat , do you think that flaps (trim tabs) could help in the matter ? I use it rarely because i have seen that cause drags, reduction of speed and more fuel consumption but i think that have a the cat that runs more horizzontal (less then 4 deg ) is better to reach more speed .
I have changed several propellers but i have a stall around the same speed.
