Default Our 2022 Cigarette Rendezvous Overview (lots of pics)

Well, we're back and finally recovered (for the most part). I'm going old school OSO and posting up our trip in pics (seems to be missing from OSO in recent years).

First, just gotta say thank you to Mark and Brett and the whole PBC staff for hosting another incredible event. They do a fantastic job of making EVERYONE (customer or not) feel welcome and at home. We, as well many others, were worried about the split between Cigarette and PBC affecting this event. Well, I'm here to say, it did not! You would not have even known, if you didn't already know. The event is so laid back and easy and welcoming and fun. This is our third year in a row going and it's quickly become our favorite event of the year. It's great to see good friends you don't get to see but once or twice a year. The scenery (boats, people and topography) is fantastic. Great food, great drinks, great hardware, great people, great weather, great location...What more can you ask for?? I usually take a load of pics so figure I'd put 'em up. I'll try to keep them in order.

Flew in Thursday with my wife Kelly our daughter Taylor and her friend Mariah and got to Osage around 5 pm. Dropped the luggage off and went directly to PBC to meet up with Dan (H2otoie), Brook, River Dave (Riverdavesplace) and Dave's photo / video dude Erick and Rob (lake P.A.L.). Dan Dave Erick and Rob had been boating all day already on Dan's 42X. Our ride this weekend (as all others out there) was with Kelly (Payupsucka) but he didn't get in until 1 am Thursday so he missed the festivities Thursday night. Got some dinner at PBC and then went directly to the some hole in the wall bar in town. I was forced to sit in the luggage area of the rental van

Fun bar, we drank too much. Luckily we had a couple DD's.

Some scenery from the PBC docks Thursday. I was pretty pumped to see Helios back in action. Got a full refit with Merc 1350's and M8's and looked incredible.

Friday morning for the run to Coconuts we were running a bit late, did I mention we drank too much on Thursday night? I know, shocker. Poor Mariah was chumming the waters at Coconuts when we got there and I have it on good authority the helicopter got some pics of her engaged in said activity.

Ken (Speedy) and the boys with the Diver Down / 90MPH guns waited for us outside of PBC, so the four of us ran up to Coconuts together. Gotta say, the water was a lot cleaner not running with the while group. Once we got to Coconuts the festivities, once again commenced. Couple more shots of Helios. Had to get a shot of American Muscle since a buddy Tim (Tim McCray on here) owned it. Cool gun with arnesons and some other great hardware.

After Coconuts it was off to Back Water Jacks

Had to get a pic of Phils F2 World champ and other great hardware. Always good to see Strip Poker. Kelly raves about the sushi here (Obviously never had sushi in Ca) but come to find out, it's not bad. Met up with Conner and Ray in their 38 Hustler (we always hang with them for this weekend).

Also, I gotta say since we currently own a Cafe, there were some NICE Cafe's there. Counted at least 4 and they were all updated and looking really nice.

Friday, after run. Went to PBC and hung out at the pool and ate. Foods always terrific.

Always lots of hardware floating around PBC

I thought this lin-up was kind'a cool. A 38 Top Gun, 35 Cafe Racer and 42 Tiger lined up at the docks.

Snapped a few other boats at the dock sunday. Including Dnebo's old boat the white gun PBC has for sale that is REALLY clean in person and has some cool custom touches and a DW from Havasu that Barrett had just worked on.

Saturday, we rolled (late again LOL) to Big Dicks for the lunch. Great run. Got there and got front row parking.

Dan's boat broke but Todd Fountain and Ron Slozak were nice enough to offer rides for the SOTW and RiverDavesPlace Video / photo guys. They had fun

We ended up skipping the raft off. It looked like a blast but I gotta say, sitting in the heat did not sound fun. We headed back to PBC. Got cut off by a couple kids on a SeaDoo, I thought Kelly was gonna pop a heart valve he was so fired up. We stopped and flagged the kids over. When I say kids I mean 19-22 y/o's. Much to our surprise they actually came over. We explained to keep head on swivel, look for boats when cutting across lake etc etc. they were very polite respectful kids, "yes sir, sorry sir..." Kept on truckin to PBC, chilled in the pool a bit and then showered and hit the PBC party.

Party was freakin awesome. Again, amazing job by Brett and Mark and the crew at PBC.

Our table had Dan and Kelly sitting at it. Kelly got Mr. Congeniality LOL and Dan got furthest towed. So, our table swept 30% of the awards LOL. Note Kellys "Mr. Congeniality" face.
Just prior to the fireworks, Brett raffled off some cool Cigarette stuff for charity. Cig signs and banners. River Dave bought a banner.

We all ended up chillin in front of the hotel after the party snacking on a PBC to go pizza.

Sunday was a great day. Talked to Tim Gallagher and Brett Manre Sat night and they said they were rollin to Dog Days and then Poppa Chubbys to chill. Kelly had been wanting Poppa Chubby's all weekend and Dog Days is our usual Sunday first stop so...We followed that plan.

Had to snap a pic of Chris Prouty's (Schweeng) prior boat the white Donzi. Hung out with Dan (ICDEADPPL) and his crew as well.

While there we noticed some rental boats coming in kinda hot. Conner and Kelly ran down to ensure they didn't slam into Conner and Rays Hustler.
But the funny thing was, we'd been there for a few hours and talking about wrapping it up to go to poppa chubbys, we're up at the pool and hear Kelly's boat fire up! So freaking loud it drowns out everyone talking at the pool, the DJ etc. LOL I walk over to the ledge and Kelly's signalling from way down on the dock, "lets roll". I guess it's his version of honking the horn. LOL That Tiger is ungodly loud.

After Dog Days we took a detour and stopped at Margaritaville for some reason that I still can't figure out. But it was cool. Chilled in the pool for a bit.
