Still can't see the other side from my place on Lake Huron. No water issues here. People panic when the level drops a few feet.

About 10-12 years ago I went to this meeting at a hunting ranch in New Mexico. There were maybe half a dozen people there, and it was to present technologies to the billionaire land owner that was looking for solutions to 2 problems.....carcass disposal for their huge cattle operation and water shortage for their cattle operation. They used to use a river that was now completely gone. I don't even remember how or why I got there, but it was an amazing trip to pristine land. I was there to present my Aquamation technology which ironically is a water based cremation process.....and the other guy there was presenting a water pipeline that would pump water from areas of the country that have too much water to other areas like this that had a shortage. The presentation was impressive, the pipeline was impressive. Obviously there were a lot more details and hoops to jump through to get a pipeline run across the country, but if it was oil it may have had a chance....until now of course.

I think you guys nailed it.....water consumption is through the roof and not much is being done to cut back.

that lake was never meant to supply what it supplies today. there is dry lake/rivers with ships stuck all over the world. so its nothing new the word changes with or with out human interference. everything has a cause and effect good and bad. very unfortunate with the situation.

Salton Sea was California's biggest ecological disaster, this one may beat it.
