Summer sports don’t seem to be making better / more pro athletes. We said no to them. So has the rest of my large extended family and we are big sports families. Many of us played in collegiate levels. Most of our 70-84 age members still play sports. Kids should still work out and etc but not interfere with summer fun. Summer….It’s the time of their lives, don ‘t let them miss out.

My daughter had 3 soccer games Saturday. I'm not talking little kid leagues these kids play like hell. We were there for 12.5 hours. These girls are tough, but they were flat whooped by game 3. Practice every day, weight training in the morning....spring, summer, and fall travel leagues. Its driving me crazy. The parents and coaches are pushing these kids too hard....they are going to miss out on a great part of their life in my opinion.

It's all about the money, the parents are told this is what you do to get your kids a full ride at a good school. In the end im curious if it would be better to just play for fun and save all the money and pay for school. Kids need to be kids , play a team sport , learn to play some life long sports , learn to do things with your hands and most importantly learn to be bored, nothing wrong with laying on the grass mid summer and looking at the clouds.

A little break from the heat and me, to get off my fat rear and do a final bleed on new full hydraulic steering, install my new speakers in the cockpit area, clean the teak flooring and re-install the front cockpit bolsters. She will be ready to go.

More time... and brakes on the trailer.

And for Murphy to get off my azz for a while... my year-end bonus looks to have gone out the window to fix a plumbing disaster (that the previous owners had to know existed). That wrapped up last week. Now, the AC decided to take a **** (hoping it's just the run capacitor).
