Very nice but a bit over my price range (especially for a near 20 year old boat). I'd like to spend about half of that.

Twins aren’t always more fuel efficient. I had a twin 28 Pantera and would burn less than the single because he had to run his much harder. Of course there are many variables

A few years ago, I sold a 28' Advantage with a single 700 and bought a 35' Nordic with twin 700's. Fuel burn was almost identical between the two. Hindsight being 20/20, I personally prefer the single. Easier to work on, cheaper to work on, still would run 80+, but certainly didn't do as well in the rough. I believe the Advantage had more useable room in it than the Nordic had. It was easier to clean, easier to tow and just easier in general to maintain.

I know i'm a little biased but since you are planning on doing the ocean sometimes, i would get something with twins, the 35 hell even the 38 were so easy to haul around, having a good trailer is key thou,

or get a smaller boat and then just come ride with us out in the ocean :)
